#TheReadingQuest

Wondering through twitter, I was lucky enough to find an awesome reading challenge to tackle some of my books in my TBR pile. This challenge is called The Reading Quest and it was created by Aentee at Read at Midnight, you can find the original sign up info here. This challenge has the additional aspect of being modeled as a quest game, which should be pretty fun. Just take a look at the quest board:

You choose a character and follow their path to complete the challenge. You get experience and health points for completing parts of the challenge. The art was created by Read,Think,Ponder. Making it an extra special treat, because you can identify with a character and choose your own adventure.

I decided to go for the Mage journey.

Here are the books I will be reading to complete my challenge:

A Book With a One Word Title

Culdesac by Robert Repino

A Book That Contains Magic

The Diviners by Libba Bray

A Book Based on Mythology

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova

A Book Set in a Different World

Catlantis by Anna Starobinets

The First Book of a Series

The Sandman Vol 1 Preludes and Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman

I look forward to talking more about these books once I start reading them. I haven't decided which one to start with, the challenge starts tomorrow and I have a few more hours to decide which book to start the quest with. I'll probably be trying to read more than one book at the same time, so we will see how it goes. I do want to point out that all these books are books I had in one of my physical To Be Read Piles in my desk and I'm really excited to make the pile smaller as I have a bunch of other electronic TBR's that need to be addressed.

The signup is open until tomorrow, so if you want to sign up you still have a few hours to do it and if you are like me and have a TBR pile of books, this might be the push you need.
